RHONDOS is seeking full-time Splunk Consultants willing to travel between 50% and 90% of the time in support of key customer implementations. Your initial skillset will determine where you can immediately make the biggest impact, but as your experience with us grows, your areas of responsibility may include:

  • Installing and configuring new deployments of Splunk Enterprise and Premium Apps such as Splunk Enterprise Security and Splunk IT Service Intelligence

  • Facilitating the install of PowerConnect Agents into SAP ABAP/Java stack applications, and guiding SAP BASIS teams through the configuration of data extractors

  • Educating new users on the value that Splunk provides and its technical capabilities

  • Pushing new customers to think outside the box, working along their teams to connect their problems/questions back to the solutions/answers that Splunk provides

  • Leverage your prior experience to share standard methodologies and build creative solutions to push user adoption and maximize the value that Splunk can provide to SAP organizations

  • Wearing multiple hats to add value to other areas of the business when not billable to a customer engagement—presales demonstrations, use case documentation, marketing collateral, et cetera.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of combined work experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Deploying and/or operating a live instance of Splunk, Phantom, or VictorOps

    • Using SAP from a process optimization (COE) or technical monitoring (BASIS) capacity

    • Implementing SAP or other products that integrate tightly with it

    • Consulting for or supporting APM/monitoring solutions like Solution Manager, Cisco Tidal, SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, DynaTrace, et cetera.

    • Working with security monitoring tools such as IDP/IDS, FW and AV (Cisco IDS, Snort, Bro, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, McAfee, Symantec)

    • Working with network monitoring tools and a solid grasp of network protocols, security zones, and firewalls

    • Analyzing application logs, syslogs, web logs, DB logs…

    • Scripting in Perl, Python, or BASH

  • Certified Splunk User (i.e. you have completed the free online Fundamentals 1 course)

  • Familiarity with the standard lifestyle and requirements of a traveling software consultant

  • Ability to quickly explore, examine and understand complex problems and how they affect a customer’s business, collaborating with audiences from IT admins to C-level stakeholders

  • Hungry, driven, self-motivated, self-educating, well-organized with a consistent sense of urgency and ability to set, communicate, and meet deadlines with opposing priorities

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment. Start-up experience a plus!

Front-of-the-Line Qualifications:

  • Splunk Accreditations: Implementation Fundamentals, Core Implementation, Accredited Consultant, ES Implementation, and ITSI Implementation

  • Splunk Certifications: User, Power User, Admin, Architect

  • Significant real-world experience operating, deploying, or administering Splunk

  • Significant real-world experience deploying, administering, or monitoring SAP

  • Proficient in writing ABAP or Python
