Responsibilities

The best Sales Engineers are technological renaissance men with relentless curiosity and a competitive spirit. You will have the core responsibility of actively leading the ‘technical sale’ across key RHONDOS opportunities, while also supporting a variety of exciting internal initiatives to help drive our business to the next level.

  • Serve as a technical SME on Splunk, SAP, and RHONDOS implementation services

  • Conduct detailed discovery sessions to help qualify leads and build customer-specific value into future communications

  • Clearly and concisely demonstrate solution value based on a set of business objectives and defined pain

  • Maintain proficiency in relevant technologies, their value propositions, development roadmaps, and customer use cases

  • Create custom presentations and other deliverables to showcase product value and address customer requirements

  • Research and understand competitive offerings and develop content to highlight key differentiators

  • Work with RHONDOS consultants upon completion of a sale to ensure a smooth implementation of customer requirements

  • Build marketing content, webinar topics, new demonstrations, and interesting use cases to better reveal our capabilities to prospects and customer

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of demonstrated presales success

  • 3-5 years of combined work experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Using or selling Splunk, Phantom, or VictorOps (or one of their competitors)

    • Selling into SAP accounts from a process optimization (COE) or technical monitoring (BASIS) capacity

    • Working closely with SAP or other products that integrate tightly with it

    • Selling or supporting APM/monitoring solutions like Solution Manager, Cisco Tidal, SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, DynaTrace, et cetera.

    • Working with security monitoring tools such as IDP/IDS, FW and AV (Cisco IDS, Snort, Bro, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, McAfee, Symantec)

    • Working with network monitoring tools and a solid grasp of network protocols, security zones, and firewalls

    • Analyzing application logs, syslogs, web logs, DB logs…

    • Scripting in Perl, Python, or BASH

  • Certified Splunk User (i.e. you have completed the free online Fundamentals 1 course)

  • Ability to quickly explore, examine and understand complex problems and how they affect a customer’s business, collaborating with audiences from IT admins to C-level stakeholders

  • Hungry, driven, self-motivated, self-educating, well-organized with a consistent sense of urgency and ability to set, communicate, and meet deadlines with opposing priorities

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment. Start-up experience a plus!
